Do I need to be a professional or high-performance athlete?

Not at all. While this test has traditionally been done on elite athletes in a lab, we're making this available to anyone taking part in endurance exercise or interested in how to fuel their sport.

Why is a consistent fuelling strategy so important?

Carbohydrates are the primary source of energy for your body - converted to glucose to fuel your muscles and brain. They are also stored as glycogen for use later. A proper fuelling strategy can improve your performance, maintain your output for longer, and help you recover. For some, over-fuelling can also lead to digestive issues, so you're looking for that perfect balance to be your best.

When do I get my results?

Typically we send your personalised report back to you within 2-weeks of you posting the samples to us. This includes postage, lab analysis, and review by our science team. It can vary slightly with shipping times, so please allow a week either side just in case.

What is in the carbohydrate drink?

The powder contains a blend of maltodextrin and fructose (1:0.8) which you mix with water. This is comparable to many carbohydrate gels and mixes you will use in training and races.

Do you work with teams or groups of athletes?

Absolutely! We work with some of the biggest names in sport, including in cycling, running, and triathlon.
